The Southtowns Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Krastev to its Board of Directors. The appointment was made earlier this month by Board Chair Eric Adams, owner of Picture Your Walls.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brian to our Board of Directors,” Adams said. “His professional expertise, combined with his deep ties to our community, make him an excellent addition to our leadership team. I’m confident Brian will help guide the Chamber’s mission and strengthen our impact in the Southtowns.”
Brian is a tax attorney at Hodgson Russ LLP, where his practice spans a broad range of federal and international tax law, including personal tax issues, cross-border tax planning, tax controversy, and not-for-profit tax matters. Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Brian worked in New York City as an international tax attorney at a Big Four accounting firm, assisting U.S. and non-U.S.-based multinational companies.
A Southtowns native, Brian grew up in Hamburg and Orchard Park. He earned his bachelor’s degree in legal studies from the University at Buffalo, his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, and a master’s degree in taxation from the New York University School of Law.
“Brian’s knowledge and experience will be a tremendous asset to the Chamber as we continue to expand our programs and services,” Matt Heidt, executive director at the Chamber said. “We are especially excited to have a leader who grew up here in the Southtowns and understands the needs of our community. We look forward to his contributions.”
The initial term of this appointment is through the end of 2026.
