Built in 2015, the Compass Minerals Buffalo plant receives rock salt from the company’s underground salt mine in Goderich, Ontario. The salt is then screened and packaged for deicing use. The plant also manufactures specialty deicing blends. Compass Minerals takes pride in developing and safely delivering essential mineral products that fulfill its Core Purpose to help keep people safe, feed the world and enrich lives.
