GreenDrop® is celebrating the opening of its new donation center in Orchard Park, New York, on Monday, November 6. The donation center will provide Erie County residents with a convenient location to donate their gently used items to GreenDrop’s nonprofit partner, the American Red Cross.
The Orchard Park donation center is located at 3201 Southwestern Blvd, Orchard Park NY, 14127, in the Tops Friendly Markets parking lot. The donation center is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. EST to accept drop offs of lightly used clothing, shoes, blankets, kitchenware, and household goods. These items, in turn, will provide critical funding for GreenDrop’s nonprofit partner.
“We are thrilled to bring our sustainable services to Buffalo and provide an easy, earth-friendly way for Erie County residents to support the American Red Cross,” said Jason Krieger, Director of GreenDrop Operations. “We look forward to continuing to be an integral part of the Erie County community.”
“Funds received through the GreenDrop partnership are applied where the need is greatest, whether that’s disaster relief, lifesaving blood, critical services for military families and veterans, training like CPR and water safety or international aid,” said Anne McKeough, Chief Development Officer of the American Red Cross. “The partnership with GreenDrop helps us carry out our lifesaving mission every day.”
GreenDrop makes it easy to donate clothing and household items at its Orchard Park location. Donors conveniently drive up to the donation center where they are greeted by a GreenDrop attendant who collects the items on behalf of the American Red Cross. Donors in return receive a tax receipt.

About American Red Cross
The Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies through the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The organization shelters, feeds and provides comfort to victims of disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; distributes international humanitarian aid; and supports veterans, military members and their families. Each year, items donated through the GreenDrop program nationwide help generate nearly $1 million to support the Red Cross mission.
Items donated are not distributed to or by the Red Cross, but sold in bulk to raise funds for its charitable purposes. The American Red Cross name and logo are used by GreenDrop with the permission of the American Red Cross, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, opinion or political position.
