Evans is situated in the southwest part of Erie County and is bounded on the northeast by Hamburg; on the east by Eden; on the south by Brant and northwest by Lake Erie. Its territory is nearly all in township 8, range 9 of the Holland Company’s survey, and includes about forty square miles.

Biography: Evans Councilwoman, Laurie Reitz is a lifelong Evans resident who resides in the village with her husband Robert (Burt). Reitz and her husband raised their 3 adult children, Thomas, Andrea, and Jillian in Evans. Reitz is a retired Lake Shore Central Special Education Teacher. Reitz has been an active community member, volunteer, and advocate for Evans and it’s citizens all her life. Reitz began serving a two year term on The Evans Town Board on January 1, 2022.
