The West Falls Center for the Arts is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing arts programming to a diverse rural population.
Our vision is to create a destination for arts education and performance. Our aim is to support and inspire members of the community who may not otherwise have access to the arts.
We believe that creativity fuels life, enriches a community and is critical for future generations.
We are proud to be the recipient of the “Rising Star” award from Arts Services Initiative as well as the “Civic” award from the EA Chamber of Commerce.
Our ongoing programs include a community concert series with local youth performers opening for every show, a free blues mentoring series for young musicians, free community holiday meals, the first Southtowns Youth Jazz Orchestra led by Mark Filsinger, and The Buffalo jazz collective series with young musicians performing along side accomplished professionals.
We provide music lessons for Veterans with harmonica, ukulele and guitar.
A 3 year grant from the Health Foundation of WNY and the Wilson foundation will help to support our “Musical Memories Cafe” concert series, using music to provide socialization opportunities for individuals with dementia and their caregivers. We have recently opened new locations for this particular concert series in Amherst, Lockport and Buffalo.
