ABOUT THE EVENT: The New York Spring Dairy Carousel, hosted by the New York Holstein Association, returns to the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg NY For the largest dairy cattle show east of the Mississippi. There will be exhibitors at the show from 14 states as well as Canada. Saturday has been coined as the Youth Show day, kicking off with the National Junior Holstein Show at 8:00am and the Junior Jersey show at 9:00am. Showmanship follows these shows with a start time of 12:00pm. The Richard Keene Memorial Judging contest, open to all youth, begins at 3:00pm and this year’s first place Senior division youth will have the opportunity to shadow one of the judges of the Sunday shows. Sunday shows include the Red and White, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Milking Shorthorn and Ayrshire breeds. The New York Spring Dairy Carousel show concludes on Monday, April 4th with the National Holstein Show judged by Pierre Boulet of Montmagny, QC Canada and the Open Jersey show judged by Terri Packard of Boonsboro, Maryland.
