The Board of Directors of the Hamburg Natural History Society, Inc., operators of Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Reserve, is proud to host Hops ‘N Rocks’ Virtual Gala at 7 pm on Thursday November 11. The event features the Gordon C. Baird Visionary Award presentation to long-time Penn Dixie volunteer Mark Yetter, special guest speaker Dr. Kimberly Meehan from the Department of Geology at the University at Buffalo, and remarks from our Executive Director and Board Chair.
Leading up to the virtual gala is an online auction showcasing over $11,500 in prizes donated by the WNY business community. Two separate raffles will be held this year. Raffle tickets to win the Ultimate Bar Cart, worth over $700, or four Sabres box tickets, worth over $1000, can be purchased for $25. There will also be a virtual gift shop. Bidding begins Sunday, November 7th at 7pm and runs through the virtual gala on November 11th.
For guests who wish to dine virtually with us, dinner for two with craft beer and dessert can be preordered for $50 from Resurgence Brewing Co. Dinner options include a Buffalo chicken wrap, BBQ pulled pork mac & cheese, and a veggie burger. Dinner orders must be placed by November 8th.
