FORGE AHEAD PROMOTIONS INC. / EXPLORE NEW YORK MAGAZINE RECEIVES CERTIFICATION AS A NEW YORK STATE WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
Certification was awarded to Forge Ahead Promotions, Inc. by Empire State Development. With this certification, owner Pamela Forge will have access to more education and outreach through the NYS Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development. It also affords the opportunity for a more streamlined process for participation in state contracts.
Forge Ahead Promotions, Inc. is a tourism marketing firm that has produced the magazine, Explore New York: The Greater Western New York Traveler’s Companion since 1995. The comprehensive guide to the best there is to see and do in the 8-county region, covers information about local events, attractions, museums, sports and recreation for every age group and demographic. In addition, they were one of the first local publications to offer a website in the early days of the internet and their comprehensive calendar of events is updated almost daily.
In addition to the magazine, Forge Ahead started a brochure distribution service in Chautauqua County 6 years ago. Brochure racks are in approximately 60 locations throughout the County and on the Seneca Nation of Indians Cattaraugus Territory. The brochure racks offer the ability to promote 50 businesses to the out of town guest and day trip market.
