Organizers of the Town of Hamburg’s 28th Annual Dash-n-Splash Mary T. Blakeslee Family Fun Run held July 28 report participation was close to last year’s numbers of total runners and walkers – 132 – and the event went off seamlessly during fair weather. The run-walk course travels from Frontier High School to the Hamburg Town Park, ending at the beach. “We were happy that so many families could participate and enjoy the day,” said event coordinator John Zoda. Proceeds benefited the Town of Hamburg Recreation Foundation.
Topping the list of winners were Overall Male, Ryan Steiner, 13:59 and Overall Female, Kelly Reinhard, 15:15. Dash-n-Splash results by age category and place are: Age 8 & Under: Males: 1st, William Hartway and 2nd, William Hashlinger. Females: 1st, Savannah Wilcox, 2nd, Emily Acker and 3rd, Izzy Brown and Samantha Kleinmann. Age 9-13: Males: 1st, Parker Wojciechowski, 2nd, Trent Wojciechowski and 3rd, Jason Gregoire. Females: 1st, Ella Herman, 2nd, Autumn Pupo and 3rd, Aurora Smith. Age 14 to 19: Males: 1st, Brandon Reinhard; 2nd Lucas Marcin and 3rd, Preston Bova. Females: 1st, Allison Cline, 2nd, Hannah Kennedy and 3rd, Gwyneth Goldowski. Age 20 to 29: Males: 1st, Edmund Falkowski, 2nd, Ryan Fortuna and 3rd, Christian Todorob. Females: 1st, Kara Wilcox, 2nd, Aubree Gross and 3rd, Mary Bostwick.
