Derby, NY – 10/16/2017 – Community Concern of WNY announces that it is acquiring Hamburg Counseling Services to ensure increased access to much needed mental health services in Southern Erie County. An Erie County analysis shows that between 45% and 92% of the population in Southern Erie County have unmet mental health needs.
Under Community Concern’s guidance, the Hamburg site will expand the scope and scale of evidence-based behavioral health services,” stated Jerry Bartone, Chief Executive Officer. “The acquisition will expand adolescent behavioral health services, offer a growing menu of services to vulnerable seniors and their caregivers, and provide fully integrated care coordination services to Medicaid recipients through its Health Home in Hamburg.”
Dale Stanley, the Hamburg Counseling Services Board president, stated that his Board believes Community Concern’s acquisition will preserve the agency’s mission, provide continuity of treatment for existing clients, diversify services, and ensure an ongoing engagement with the Village and Town of Hamburg.
Michael Davern, Community Concern’s Board chair stated that this decision is very consistent with Community Concern’s direction and rapid growth, and provides integrated services to the people of Southern Erie County while increasing client access through multiple locations.
