SPCA Serving Erie County Celebrates Grand Opening
May 13, 2017 – West Seneca, New York — SPCA Serving Erie County located at 300 Harlem Road, plans to celebrate the grand opening of its new home. Concept Construction Corporation, specialists in construction management, general construction, and design-build services was the project’s Construction Manager.
Positioned on a 10 acre site off Harlem Rd. in West Seneca, the new 52,000 sq. ft., $14.7 million dollar multi-purpose facility is twice the size of the former building. It is completely state of the art, with an independent area for Admissions and Adoptions. The SPCA welcomes the Lipsey Veterinary Clinic which includes on-site veterinarians and dedicated education and outreach services spaces. With advanced medical imaging capabilities, expanded, comfortable adoption areas, a distinct Wildlife rehabilitation environment and a barn for farm animals, the new facility also has plenty of outdoor play areas and exercise space.
SPCA President and CEO Gary Willoughby says that “we are so thankful for the support from the community that made this new facility possible, the great work done by our General Contractor, Concept Construction, the design work by Kideney Architects and all of the men and women who took this raw piece of land and turned it into our organization’s home for the next 50+ years!”
