Hamburg, NY –  The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is excited to start up its Speaker Series for the second half of the year. These series run every six to eight weeks with an array of speakers geared to the current events and issues important to residents and businesses of Hamburg and the surrounding areas.  The insight offered is not just a few talking points but allows for attendees to ask questions and speak their minds so they can walk away with more knowledge, answers to their questions, and/or tips on how to improve quality of life and/or businesses in our community.

These events take a break over the summer but are back this fall starting at the end of September.  Although there are basic topics as to what the presenters discuss, bring your questions for open dialog.

September 29th: Sheriff Tim Howard will be discussing multiple local issues and initiatives.

October 5th: Gary Mink, Executive VP of HR Benefit Advisors will be presenting how to understand and implement new labor standard laws. With a deadline of December 1, 2016, your own paycheck or your business will be affected by these changes so get the details to make an informed decision.

October 25th: Legislature Lynne Dixon will be discussing the current state of road construction in the county plus updated strategies regarding the heroin epidemic in our region.
